Europe is facing today a huge demographic change with an increasing life expectancy. Also Italy is witnessing the presence of an ever-rising number of elderly persons, so it’s necessary to find solutions for improving their quality of life, autonomy, reducing the costs of health and social care.

This Forum aims to create, for the first time in Italy, an Event which focuses on those issues and particularly on Ambient Assisted Living in order to highlight the importance of using ICT innovations to extend the time people can live at home by increasing their autonomy and self-confidence.
