AAL Living Labs in Europe and the US
Living Labs are an important tool for developing and evaluating product and service ideas. Here new concepts and solutions can be tested under "real life" conditions including simulation and participation of users. This is especially true for ambient assisted living technologies where user needs are an essential part of the development and innovation process.
Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Joint Programme
The Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme is a research and development (R&D) funding activity implemented by actual 20 European Member States and 3 Associated States with the financial support of the European Community based on (former) article 169 of the EC treaty.
